Learning About Skateboarding and Tricks

Jump Starter

Learning to skateboard looks hard but it is not because many people over dramatize how hard it is. First of there are two ways you can ride the board, goofy and regular. When you ride goofy your left foot is at the back of the board and when you ride regular your right foot is at the back of the board. Don't think that just because the majority of skateboarders ride regular that you shouldn't to, this is why many people have a hard time skateboarding and there are many pros that ride goofy. The first trick everybody learns is the Ollie, this trick is very complicated to newer skateboarders but once you understand it it is the essayist thing in the world. To Ollie push your foot at the back of the board down and slide your other foot up the board and then bring your feet back together and land it. If you can't seem to land the Ollie or move your board up try to do it another way, many people preform Ollie's differently.

Once you know how to preform the basic Ollie you can start jumping over objects and grinding rails. When preforming an Ollie to ride a rail or jump over an object you are going to want to be at least five feet away from the object or your going to end up crashing into it or not making it. A more complicated trick is a trick where you have to flip the board known as a kick flip, to preform a kick flip you must basically do an Ollie but when your other foot reaches the end of the board you have to kick and the board will flip. Once you learn the tricks they will basically come to you instantly but if you quit skateboarding for months then you won't be able to do any tricks. You can learn a lot of tricks fast but it is because of giving up that you will not learn any tricks.
